Shannon is designer-maker and part-time educator who works across a broad range of craft based materials and processes to create products, furniture and objects. Through the utilisation and reimagining of traditional craft skills her practice investigates the narrative potential of making to encourage a better human-nature relationship.
She does this by researching and responding to aspects of sustainability with new materials, methods and process. This further challenges her to question and produce work that explores and contributes to contemporary dialogue around the meaning, value and purpose of craft as a method of making.
She involves herself with making, exhibiting, residencies, teaching, workshops, talks and a ceaseless need to investigate.
