Some artists exhibited in Venice as well as the creators of BeCraft will constitute a panel of 40 exhibitors. A selection made by Jean Blanchaert, curator of Next of Europe, one of the fifteen Homo Faber exhibitions, presenting a selection of functional and decorative objects made by the most refined master craftsmen in Europe; and Irina Eschenazi, assistant curator.
Reservoir (of knowledge), the vase, the bowl, the amphora,… has a primitive function, closely linked to Nature and to the nature of Men. The container contains all that is material, foodstuffs, history and humanity. Creative Nature offers this encounter between creative Nature and creativity of gesture. Evoked or formal, these concepts are illustrated by a hundred objects reinterpreted by the contemporary crafts of ceramics, glass, goldsmithery, wood, textiles, sometimes using new materials such as silicone. or organic materials… so many creations calling for mastery of gesture and resolutely calling for questioning the world.
